Peak to Sea
Slovenia - a natural phenomen
From the "Peak" Pokljuka plateau, where we can find the tipical alpine style, such as the Zajamniki mountain pasture, with shepherd cottages positioned in a street, with a great views on Triglav and surrounding mountain tops, we descend into the Bohinj valley, where after 25 km the first stage of the day finishes.
With the train we make a transfer through the tunnel on the other side in the Soča valley, where the second stage of the day starts. Mostly descanding 30 km long trip along the beautiful Soča river, leads us into the valley Vipavska dolina, famous because of the wine production and culinaric specialities like prosciutto, cheries,... In the local farm, the tipical lunch will be served.
Filled with the energy, we will continue by car, crossing the tipical Karst villages, to the "Sea", where the last stage of the day starts. From the bighest Slovenian harbour Koper, crossing the Strunjan saltworks, after 20 km the capuccino will be served in the old town of Piran.
After the jump in the sea, we will take the tipical dinner, at the local restaurant.
